DIAN’S TWINS
piece
“The natural and the supernatural are not two different and separate kinds of beings, but one and the same that, taken in itself, is to be called supernatural, because only by appearing, i.e., entering the perception of our intellect and hence its forms, does it manifest itself as nature; it is precisely nature’s merely phenomenal lawfulness that we understand as the natural”1

DIAN'S TWINS
The doom of Dian’s twins divine;
Miach brave, Oirmiach breached,
on meads, there bloomed from blood entwined,
by father’s glaive, the herbs of leech
***
A change precedes another kind;
the causal law, no more it bodes,
but in the range and rub of mind,
concordance drawn of episodes
***
that in themselves and out of sight,
are nothing but the constant flame,
undelved redoubts of scattered light,
the froth that wells in man the same
Schopenhauer, Arthur, “Parerga and Paralipomena Volume 1”

Lovely and so filled with nuance. 💜💜💜💜👏👏👏👏👏😊😊😊😊😊
Kind of a haunting undertone of the inevitable to this.
“by father’s glaive, the herbs of leech“
A strong line, creating unique imagery.
