What are your thoughts on the neo-pagan philosopher, Edward Butler? He came to mind when you invoked the idea of the heterogeneous.

I hadn't heard of him before - I had to look him up. I don't really know; I have some of Tim Addey’s books, but the kind of Iamblichan or Proclean Platonism that seems to be the kind associated with these revivalist schools is not the kind I'm most interested in. I prefer the Stoicizing-Platonism of Antiochus and Varro
