‘I woke and saw their fearful pattern; these gods of Wealth and Sin.
Woven into human faces, lacing their voices, I perceived, I heard; expressions besotted, angry and sad. Wailing grief and rage.
Dying faces, eyes drunk on celebrity and stupidity.
As blind children playing by a cliff, or infants crawling toward the fire, I saw them.
Baited dogs, rending each other asunder, before the leopards and bears are loosed- before flood waters fill up the arena.
And high above, from beyond the burning rafters, I heard sounds of savage revelry; the cruel and raucous laughter of the gods of Wealth and Sin.
The cycle ends as it begins, as it ends- so they pass.
In virtue, in vice, in fear or fury, in honour, in kindness, or in treason.
In spurning friends, clutching vipers, mistaking power for benevolence, they pass.
Awaiting,
Awaiting another dreamtime,
another turning in the endless dark of space.’
I found the Hafez portal I was looking for 🤲 Enjoy and have a great afternoon! I am going back outside and enjoying the day now that I am feeling very "Zen". Thank you so much ❤
