White Fire
piece
“This kosmos here, insofar as it is the same for everyone and everything, none of the gods and no man has brought forth, it always already was and it is and will be: inexhaustible living fire, kindled in measures and in measures going out” – Fragment of Heraclitus, translated by Martin Heidegger

WHITE FIRE
Pure the sky, the air, and grass!
through briar umber soughs the night,
as by, the faery murmurs pass,
to rouse from slumber, fire white
***
The same as when, put by the plough,
the flail and halberd, mead and wine
a flame befriending order bowed,
of Erin’s seed, at Bealtine1 time

Gaelic Mayday festival. It's name means white, or bright fire
