If the deleterious consequences you fret over were squarely the fault of Abrahamic religions then other religions would be free of them. But lumpen Hinduism is not and Buddhism is responsible for the Burmese toxic monk Wirathu.
As a consequence of their being ex-colonies of the British empire which thrived on setting populations against each other. And of course, Britain like other European empires in recent history was self-consciously Abrahamicised; "the light of the world for the benighted heathens". Also, I don't say Abrahamic religions in themselves are any worse or better in context and on the whole (Indo-European religions also have and had their weakness) , but politicisation, imposition, evangelism, literalism certainly are extremely destructive and are so to both religion and politics
